Duke athletics generated $166.86 million in revenue in 2024 fiscal year, covering July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, nearly matching its expenses, according to the University’s Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act report.
While generating $166.86 million, Duke athletics reported $166.76 million in expenses, essentially breaking even for the fiscal year. Included in expenses are operation activities, fundraising, student aid, recruiting, salaries, travel and other program costs.
Among Duke’s 23 varsity sports listed in the report, combining swimming and diving along with track and field and cross country, football leads the way, generating $68.4 million in revenue.
