COLUMBUS, Ohio -- One of Ohio State’s freshman linebackers lost his black stripe on Wednesday, as T.J. Alford had his removed after practice.
Alford was the 12th freshman to lose his black stripe. Linebacker Riley Pettijohn was the first freshman at the position to lose his black stripe.
He was one of three members of the 2025 class at linebacker along with Pettijohn and Eli Lee.
