MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man has been convicted of several counts of child rape and aggravated sexual battery in Montgomery County.
According to Montgomery County District Attorney Robert Nash, a jury returned a guilty verdict on all counts against Melvin Nettles IV after a three-day trial.
Nettles was found guilty of eight counts of rape of child and five counts of aggravated sexual battery, according to Nash.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Marianne Bell and Assistant District Attorney Hailey Thompson prosecuted the case.
The Child Protective Investigative Team of Montgomery County, led by Child Advocacy Center director Anne Post and Clarksville Police Department Detective Will King, investigated the case.
