Most people visit Yellowstone National Park to spot some of the incredible animals living there. Plenty of mammals have made Yellowstone their home, from bison to wolves, moose, and elk. Yet, these animals can at times be dangerous.

In particular, bears sometimes attack humans when feeling threatened. Just a few weeks ago, at Glacier National Park, a bear charged directly toward a 34-year-old hiker . Something similar happened a few days ago at Yellowstone, when a hiker was attacked by a bear and had to be flown to a hospital to receive treatment. As a consequence, the NPS decided to temporarily close the trail where the accident occurred.
