Work is underway on a major revamp of a popular coffeehouse in Coventry . Costa Coffee on Upper Precinct is being upgraded as part of an 'exciting' project.

It closed on Monday (September 15). Bosses say a major refurbishment is underway and will be completed by next Friday (September 26).

The nearby branch at West Orchards Shopping Centre is unaffected and remains open. Bosses said the revamp of Costa on Upper Precinct will make the space an 'uplifting environment designed with the community in mind.' It comes as Coca-Cola was reportedly looking to sell the major chain for just half of what it paid in 2019.
