Portland looks to finish off the summer season with mild and quiet weather with no big storms or heat waves expected before summer ends just before noon on September 22.

The National Weather Service says onshore flow will continue and the region will stay warm with average temperatures likely through at least Saturday.

Portland will see sunny blue skies Thursday and a high temperature of about 78 degrees. Winds may blow up to about 10 mph by the afternoon.

Friday will be a warmer day exceeding average temps by a handful of degrees. Expect sunny skies and a high near 82.

Saturday will start out sunny and high temps will reach about 80 degrees, but clouds will move in by the evening as rain chances increase due to a strong system moving southeast from the Gulf of Alaska.
