Immigration attorney Sophia Arshad runs her practice out of a Merrillville building where her parents, who immigrated to the United States from India more than 50 years ago, once conducted their own medical practice. The majority of Arshad's career focuses on family and citizenship immigration law at the firm Arshad, Pangere and Warring LLP, as well as serving as a consultant with Lake County Public Defender's office to assess the impact of criminal cases on an immigration status.
