A tale of two Oktoberfests

The Vancouver Elks Lodge #823 , 11605 S.E. McGillivray Blvd., presents Elktoberfest , an outdoor gathering of “Bands, Brats and Brews” from 4-10 p.m. Friday and 2-9 p.m. Saturday featuring a carnival and vendor marketplace. Guests will enjoy beer, traditional German fare and lively local bands. All ages are welcome. The entry fee is $10 per day for those 21 and older. Cloverlane Mercantile and Event Center will host Oktoberfest from 2-10 p.m. Saturday at 16391 N.E. 182nd Ave., Brush Prairie. The family celebration includes an outdoor beer garden, photo opportunities, games and German food including pretzels, bratwurst, roasted chicken soup and apple streudel.
