WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- A 39-year-old has been arrested after a man was killed back in July, police said.
Around 12:15 a.m. on July 18, officers responded to the 100 block of Fort Drive, Northeast for the report of a fight inside an apartment.
Officers found a man inside an apartment suffering from an injury. After life-saving measures failed, he was pronounced dead, and an autopsy report later confirmed he died from gunshots.
The victim was identified as 41-year-old Allen Shropshire of Northeast, D.C.
On Wednesday, Sept. 17, 39-year-old Solaiman Richardson was arrested in Baltimore, MD. Richardson has been charged with second-degree murder while armed.
This case is domestic in nature, according to police.
