GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said two violent deaths are under investigation.

Deputies received a 911 hang-up call around 8 a.m. from a home on North Wingate Road. At they scene, they found two elderly people, a husband and wife, dead in the front yard.

Both people sustained what is believed to be at least one gunshot wound, and a firearm was located on the scene.

The coroner identified the deceased as Webster Stanley Jones and Catherine Knight Jones, who were both 84.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said this appears to be an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public at this time. The manner of death is still under investigation.
