The Third Annual Mental Health Matters Arizona Conference is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 27.

The event is free and open to the public, according to a press release.

It can be attended virtually by Zoom or in person at ASU SkySong Campus, 1475 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 200.

Two Scottsdale Unified School District students will be on the board discussing mental illness.

Tiara, a senior at Desert Mountain High School, struggles with anxiety and depression. Samantha, another SUSD senior who studies online, has struggled with mental health issues, substance use, and is now in recovery after being hospitalized last year.
