A man died at Universal’s new Florida amusement park.
According to the Associated Press , the man in his 30s was found unresponsive after riding a roller coaster at Epic Universe. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Additional details, such as his identity or circumstances around his death, were not available on Thursday.
Epic Universe, Universal’s third theme park, opened in Orlando in May. The sprawling park features five themed lands: Celestial Park, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.
It’s the first major, traditional theme park to open in Florida since 1999, when Universal Islands of Adventure debuted. Universal opened a water park, Volcano Bay, in 2017.
