LEMON GROVE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A 33-year-old San Diego man was arrested late Wednesday night on suspicion of driving under the influence after a two-car crash in La Mesa, according to local law enforcement.

The collision occurred around 11:19 p.m. at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and University Avenue, with officers responding to the scene shortly after the crash.

Police say the man was driving a black Acura sedan when he collided with a silver Chevrolet sedan. The driver of the Acura was transported to Sharp Grossmont Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver of the Chevrolet sustained minor injuries but declined transport to the hospital.

No other occupants were reported in either vehicle, and there were no pedestrians involved.
