HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Trump Administration has formally requested Nebraska’s complete voter registration data under the National Voter Registration Act.
In a letter sent to the letter to Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Evnen, the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division requested “the registrant’s full name, date of birth, residential address, his or her state driver’s license number or the last four digits of the registrant’s social security number.”
The letter gives the Evnen 14 days to send the data over. The letter was dated September 8, which means that the Justice Department expects the data to be sent via encrypted email by September 22, Monday.
The letter was sent by Harmeet K. Dhillon, Assistant Attorney General of the Civil Rights Division.
