HALL COUNTY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hall County Sheriff’s Office has identified the person killed in a crash Wednesday morning on Highway 281.

The victim is 32-year-old Alex Munoz of Hastings.

According to the sheriff’s office, first responders were called to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 281 by Diamond Truck Wash just north of Interstate 80.

The sheriff’s office said a 2021 Freightliner box truck was traveling north on Highway 281 when the driver lost control, crossed the median and struck a southbound 2017 Chevrolet pickup on the driver’s side.

Munoz was identified as the driver of the Chevy pickup.

The driver of the box truck is a 35-year-old man from Grand Island.

An accident reconstruction team was called to the scene to assist in the investigation. An autopsy will be conducted.
