PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- The Newbold family created the 'WillPower Foundation' to improve mental health in memory of their 22-year-old son.

William Newbold is remembered as a charming, athletic, and funny individual who always made time for friends and family.

In 2022, he tragically died by suicide.

The WillPower Foundation has spent the last year fundraising to pilot various programs. These include connecting individuals to therapy, constructing a school-based mental health curriculum, and developing an app to access resources.

Even before the foundation became a nonprofit, the family has been hosting annual 'Walk & Talks' in William's name.
