Lion dancing, glowing lanterns and the smell of sizzling street food is coming to Subiaco this Saturday when the Mid-Autumn Festival hits town.

The family-friendly event at ONE Subiaco will celebrate the traditions of Asia with a mix of live performances, food stalls and kids’ activities.

The GDPT Chanh Tin Lion Dance Troupe is expected to draw the biggest crowd, hitting the stage at 5pm with a fiery routine complete with drummers and firecrackers.

On the food front, festival-goers can tuck into everything from Indonesian satay and Pad Thai noodles to Japanese gyoza, Taiwanese hotcakes and even fresh durian. MCQ Street Food will also be dishing up authentic Vietnamese plates from its Subiaco storefront.
