WEST SPRINGFIELD ― Parents and students at the John R. Fausey Elementary School soon will experience smoother mornings, thanks to a new traffic pattern and expanded parking designed to reduce congestion and improve safety.

The redesign, led by the town’s Department of Public Works, adds 21 parking spaces and creates a dedicated drop-off/pick-up zone along Fausey Drive. The work is expected to be completed by the end of the month, officials said in a statement issued by the DPW.
