CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is scheduled to undergo surgery on Friday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

If swelling allows, the NFL insider said Dr. Norman Waldrop will perform the surgery to repair Burrow’s Grade 3 turf toe injury.

Rapoport did say it is possible the procedure gets pushed back a few days, but it is currently scheduled for Friday.

Burrow was put on the Injured Reserve (IR) list Tuesday after he suffered the injury in Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Burrow is expected to be out at least three months, according to Rapoport.

After the Bengals put Burrow on IR, Cincinnati made several roster moves.

Quarterback Brett Rypien was signed to the Bengals’ active roster.
