CONCORD, N.H. —
New Hampshire is working to complete the final leg of its project, bringing high-speed internet to rural parts of the state.
On Wednesday, the New Hampshire Executive Council approved an extension on a contract to oversee the work.

The broadband project is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act and will continue through the end of 2026.
"We will be able to say that we're at 99% completion of wiring the entire state and most likely being among, if not being, the first state to achieve that goal,” Taylor Caswell, commissioner of business and economic affairs, said.
