Dolly Parton had to miss the opening of a new experience at her theme park, Dollywood , this week because of kidney stones.
The “9 to 5” hitmaker, 79, apologized to fans in a pre-recorded video that played at an event on Wednesday.
“Hello Dollywood. It’s me. I know. I’m here, you’re there and you’re wondering why that is,” Parton said in the video that was posted to X .
“Well, I had a little problem. I had a kidney stone, which was causing me a lot of problems. Turns out there was an infection and the doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute. So, you need a few days to get better,’” the 11-time Grammy winner said. “So he suggested I don’t go to Dollywood today. I want to make this clear, I was looking so forward to it.”
Parton ended the clip by reassuring fans
