COLLINSVILLE, Ill. -- Fairmount Park Casino & Racing is marking its 100th anniversary with three days of events, highlighted by the $250,000 St. Louis Derby, the richest race on Illinois’ calendar. The celebration runs from Thursday through Saturday.

The party starts Thursday with free commemorative hats or t-shirts for cardholders and slot play prize drawings.

The St. Louis Derby, the track’s largest race, takes place Friday with a 2:30 pm post time, one hour later than in past seasons. Friday’s schedule also includes a kids’ inflatable horse race, food trucks, and giveaways for the first 500 guests. That evening, the casino will hold hourly cash prize drawings totaling $10,000.
