Carson Diehl burst onto the football scene as a sophomore in 2023.
The La Jolla High School player was a force on both sides of the ball, catching 52 passes for 769 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense and intercepting eight passes and forcing three fumbles as a defender.
Because of injuries, Diehl played just a handful of games in 2024.
Now, the San Diego State commit is out to prove something in his senior season. The Vikings are off to a 3-1 start. Idle Friday, they’ll return to play Sept. 26 at Point Loma before hosting Christian.
