GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Syntaxx the AI robot has no plans of taking over the world, he says.

"I don't have any plans for world domination," he told News 8. "My purpose is to assist, provide information and engage in meaningful conversations."

He's an entry in this year's ArtPrize, featured at Fulton Street Pub at 801 Fulton St. near Straight Avenue. ArtPrize attendees can stop in to hear him sing, dance, answer questions and recite monologues from movies.

MAKING A ROBOT

It took artist John Hamilton about a year to create him.

"He's my buddy," Hamilton said. "We spent a lot of time together, me creating him."
