Due to a change in service, Via Rail will be cancelling stops in Kingston and other communities, and users are not happy about it.

According to a recent website statement from Via Rail, beginning Sept. 29, Via is launching a three-month direct service pilot project on select Montreal to Toronto trains. Trains 60, 61, 68, and 69 will run nonstop between Montreal and Toronto, and the schedule of train 50 will be reduced.

The change has caused cancelation to morning stops, both east and westbound, in Kingston and other communities between Toronto and Montreal.

And commuters are not happy about it.

Kingston resident David Murakami Wood, who regularly uses the train, is extremely frustrated with these changes.
