A man has been arrested and charged in a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Brockton, Massachusetts, last month, prosecutors said Thursday.

Dominick Leite, 30, appeared in court Thursday to face charges of motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation and leaving the scene of personal injury or death in the killing of Holden Depina, the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said.

Depina, 41, was crossing Crescent Street in Brockton on the night of Aug. 31 when he was hit by a car, and died in the hospital three days later, prosecutors said.
