Three Burnaby residents have been arrested in connection with an organized theft ring in Metro Vancouver.
Metro Transit Police said they searched a residence in Burnaby on Saturday and found stolen high-end goods with an estimated retail value of over $200,000.
Police said the search was part of an investigation into a Facebook Marketplace seller, who police allege was selling expensive items that had been stolen.
The search also uncovered $3,805 in cash, which Transit Police said are believed to be the proceeds of crime.
In addition, 14 large garbage bags’ worth of name brand consumer goods were seized. The merchandise, much of it with retail tags still affixed, is now being traced back to luxury brand stores across Metro, Transit Police said in a news release Thursday
