HOUSTON (KIAH) — Texans safety Jimmie Ward has avoided prosecution on a third-degree domestic felony charge, according to reports.
The report from Pro Football Talk said that the domestic violence case against Ward in Montgomery County was no-billed by a grand jury.
While Ward will not face a criminal trial, he also faces a $20 million civil suit by the accuser, who accuses him of assault.
Ward will remain on the Commissioner Exempt list in the near future, where he was placed on in August. He was also on the physically unable to perform list in the summer after having foot surgery.
Ward also was arrested in the summer for a parole violation.
