After nearly 30 years in the auto repair industry, including 18 years running the woman-owned and -operated Foxy Auto Repair in North Reading, auto mechanic Sally Dawson is shifting gears to teach people how to care for their cars with free classes in the community.
“The main reason I want to teach other people how to become more independent car owners is because of the conversations I had with customers in my waiting room — a lot of avoidable repairs, a lot of situations that didn’t have to occur,” said Dawson. “I feel like, especially young drivers, it’s important for them to learn how to properly maintain their car to make their lives safer and easier.”
