Martin Freeman's "ruthless" true crime series featuring a Happy Valley star will disappear from Netflix within days.

A Confession first aired on ITV six years ago, chronicling the devastating true story of 22 year old Sian O'Callaghan who vanished in 2011 following a night out with mates.

Police quickly apprehend local cab driver Christopher Halliwell (portrayed by Joe Absolom) but Detective Superintendent Steve Fulcher (Martin Freeman) takes an unconventional approach as he remains hopeful of finding Sian alive.

He interrogates Halliwell before returning him to the station and without legal representation present, violating police procedures and ultimately destroying his career and standing.
