OTTAWA — Three strikes and you’re outta here.

That’s what the Conservatives are hoping the Mark Carney Liberals will adopt during the fall sitting’s first opposition day on Thursday, where they urged the government to adopt tough new measures to combat the dangerous recidivism that’s leading to the crime and chaos ruling Canadian streets.

“People feel endangered in their own communities, I saw this in rural Alberta where people didn’t even lock their doors 10 years ago,” Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre told the House of Commons on Thursday. “Now they worry about burglars breaking in, thieves siphoning fuel and (stealing) copper wire on their properties. In big cities, people are terrorized by story after story of increasing crime.”
