BEREA, Ohio -- A 34-year-old Cleveland man carrying eight bags of what police believed was crack cocaine was arrested at about 11 p.m. Sept. 15 on North Rocky River Drive.
Police on patrol saw the man’s Kia K4 traveling south on Ohio 237, which turns into North Rocky River Drive at Sheldon Road.
At Sheldon, the Kia entered a turn-only lane, but drove straight through the intersection. Another driver slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting the Kia.
The Kia then pulled into a BP gas station at 871 N. Rocky River and stepped out of the car.
Police activated their overhead lights and parked behind the man, who started walking toward the BP store entrance.
Police ordered the man to stop and asked for his driver’s license.
After identifying the man, they instructed him to wait near the rear
