CINCINNATI, Ohio — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is expected to undergo surgery Friday to repair a Grade 3 turf toe injury, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport . He added that the surgery will happen if swelling allows, but it could also be pushed back a few days.

The injury, sustained during Sunday’s 31-27 win over Jacksonville, will sideline Burrow for at least three months according to Rapoport, leaving the Bengals without their franchise quarterback until mid-December at the earliest.

Bengals coach Zac Taylor did not rule out a return for Burrow this season when speaking to reporters in his Wednesday press conference.
