CLEVELAND, Ohio - A 20-year-old Cleveland man has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide after authorities say he struck and killed a woman riding her bicycle early Tuesday morning.

Kamarion Jordan was charged in Cleveland Municipal Court in connection with the crash that killed 51-year-old Yvonne Kemp, according to court records.

The incident occurred about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday at East 126th Street and Kinsman Road. Authorities said Jordan struck Kemp as she rode her bicycle, causing her to be thrown.

Officers found Kemp unconscious in the middle of the road. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.

Officers said Jordan crashed into a pole a short distance away from the scene.

On Wednesday, Jordan’s bond was set at $25,000. He is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 26.
