WESTLAKE, Ohio -- Unity Spiritual Center Westlake invites the community to a joyful day of love, gratitude and blessings for our animal companions at the St. Francis Bless-Fest pet blessing and mini pet fair from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 4.

This free, family-friendly event will be held outdoors on the grounds of Unity Spiritual Center (USC), 23855 Detroit Road in Westlake.

Inspired by St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals whose feast day is celebrated worldwide, Bless-Fest offers a unique way to honor the unconditional love and care animals bring to our lives.

Guests can enjoy:

• A welcome and blessing ceremony at 11 a.m. led by Senior Minister the Rev. Richard Loren Held and the Unity Prayer Chaplains

• Pet healings from the USC Reiki healers

• The opportunity to meet St. F
