SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. (DC News Now) -- Deputies arrested an 18-year-old accused of being involved in a Spotsylvania County shooting that happened earlier this week, marking the second arrest in that shooting.
The Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said on Thursday that deputies arrested Leysean Anthony Blair. He is being accused of shooting another teenager.
As a result, Blair was charged with: • Discharging a firearm within a right-of-way • Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony • Unlawful shooting • Malicious wounding • Gang participation
The incident happened on Sept. 15 at around 6:30 p.m. in the 10900 block of Taney Drive. There, deputies found a 16-year-old boy who had been shot in the abdomen.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
