COLUMBIA, S.C. — A man has now been charged with murder in the homicide of Angela Fuller , a woman who was reported missing late last month but was found dead two weeks later.
Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announced at a news conference late Thursday afternoon that Anthony Reese, 55, is charged with murder, among other charges. He'd earlier been announced as a person of interest in Fuller's disappearance.
Holbrook confirmed for the first time that Fuller was shot to death. The chief said they have DNA evidence and surveillance video that helped them connect Reese, who he identified as Fuller's boyfriend, to the case.
He said they have also recovered what he said is the murder weapon. Holbrook believes she was killed between the 29th and 31st of August.
