HOUSTON (KIAH)--Several local artists involved in a new series of art installations, 'HueMan:Shelter' are highlighting the perceptions of homelessness.

The project was created through Bloomberg Philanthropies, a funded initiative that helps transforms and merges public spaces and public perceptions. According to its' website, the charity helps improve the lives of millions of people in more than 700 cities and 150 countries through the arts, education, the environment, government innovation and public health. Unhoused participants received paid training and co-created art that lives within Houston's transit corridors and underpasses.
