The Pershing County Sheriff's Office said it arrested 44 people and responded to more than 4,000 incidents at Burning Man this year.
The annual festival in the Black Rock Desert, 120 miles north of Reno, ran Aug. 24–Sept. 1 and drew about 70,000 people.
This year, the sheriff's office is also investigating what appears to be the festival's first homicide.
Vadim Kruglov, 37, was found dead on Aug. 30 , the night the Man burns, the symbolic culmination of the art festival.
Pershing County Sheriff Jerry Allen told the Reno Gazette Journal that on the night of the suspected homicide, deputies also responded to 17 other calls for help.
