PHOENIX (AZFamily) — While international travel is up across the globe, a new report found international travel to the U.S. is seeing a sharp decline.
Out of 184 countries, the U.S. is the only country seeing a drop in visitor spending, according to the World Travel and Tourism Council .
The report from the council stated that rising travel costs, tightened immigration policies, and political uncertainty are contributing to this decline.
Mike Huckins with the Greater Phoenix Chamber says he’s noticed a decline in Canadian visitors this year, and Arizona businesses are seeing a drop in Canadian dollars.
