MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — Officers are uninjured, and a suspect is in the hospital after a shooting involving Mesa Police overnight.
The shooting happened in the area of 10th Avenue and Pasadena around 2 a.m. on Thursday.
Detective John Dryer said officers were called to a domestic situation. When they arrived, the suspect, a 33-year-old man, pointed what appeared to be a gun at officers, leading to officers firing their weapons.
Detective Dryer said two officers were involved in this shooting. The suspect is in the hospital, but police have not provided an update on his condition.
Tempe Police will investigate this incident as part of the East Valley Critical Response Team.
