A 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of gambling offenses after the Honolulu Police Department executed a search warrant Wednesday at an illegal gambling room on Auyong Homestead Road in Nanakuli.

At about 6 p.m. Wednesday, HPD officers from the Narcotics Vice Division, assisted by the District 8 Crime Reduction Unit and the Specialized Services Division, searched the home. Police seized 16 gambling machines and more than $5,000 in cash.

The 38-year-old woman operating the establishment was arrested on suspicion of promoting gambling in the second degree and possession of a gambling device.

The number of arrests at illegal game rooms on Oahu so far this year has surpassed the total for 2024.
