HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. — A Kentucky high school had to go on a soft lockdown Thursday after someone fired a gun near the school.
School officials said Central Hardin High School went on a soft lockdown about 2:35 p.m. Thursday after shots were fired in front of the Litchfield Road campus in Cecilia.
Two motorists were involved in an altercation on Leitchfield Road when one displayed a weapon and fired, according to school officials. No one at the school was injured.
The lockdown, which kept students and staff inside while classes continued, was lifted about 3:15 p.m., school officials said.
