Fire in South Peoria field sends smoke soaring into the sky

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- A fire in South Peoria sent smoke billowing into the sky on Thursday afternoon.

The fire was near the intersection of Darst and Clark streets, which is near the Greater Peoria Sanitation water treatment plant. The field were the fire was taking place is behind a demolition company and near a scrap yard.
