A 15-year-old girl testifying at a Calgary murder trial as the prosecution's star witness confirmed under cross-examination that she wants to see the accused killer in jail "for as long as possible."
"I never want to see him again," the teen told defence lawyer Rebecca Snukal.
Snukal's client, 27-year-old Robert Matthews, is on trial for the second-degree murder of Jordan Jacques-Vetten, who was fatally shot in September 2023 because, the prosecution alleges, he refused to give up his backpack during an armed robbery.

At the time, Matthews was in a relationship with a 13-year-old girl, who can only be identified as AB due to a publication ban.
