PHOENIX (AZFamily) — For some, holiday travel is just over the river and through the woods, but millions of people will fly during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year.

“If you haven’t started looking at holiday airfare, now is the time,” said Julian Kheel, the founder of Points Path. “We are seeing prices up about 7% to 8% year-over-year versus last holiday season.”

If you have a flexible travel schedule, there are certain days that are cheaper to fly.

“For Thanksgiving, as you’d expect on Thanksgiving and the Friday after are the cheapest days to travel.
