A person of interest in the non-fatal stabbing of a woman during a fight in West Hollywood was questioned by investigators and released after prosecutors declined to file charges, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported Thursday.

Twenty-year-old Maritza Gonzalez remains in critical condition after the stabbing, which occurred about 3 a.m. in the 8900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, near San Vicente Boulevard, according to the sheriff’s department.

Respondiong deputies found her suffering from an upper body stab wound.

Paramedics rushed her to a hospital, where she was listed in critical condition and remained so on Thursday.
