WAKEFIELD – The Solomon Gorillas rebounded after a season opening loss to Rural Vista to have a big turn around game winning 36-12 over the Wakefield Bombers.

The Gorillas rushed for 249 yards and scored five rushing touchdowns. Junior quarterback Breken Coup went 11 of 19 through the air for 150 yards as the Gorillas won for the first time in 2025.

Junior Matt Hamm-Jones led Solomon in rushing with 140 on 20 carries. Senior Aiden Shepard rushed for 64 and scored three touchdowns in the win. Coup rushed six times for 34 yards and two scores. Junior Koehn Duryea had 11 yards on two carries for Solomon.

Wakefield junior Bradyn Moenning rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown, and he completed 11 of 21 passing attempts for 108 yards and a score. Junior Noa Laffery had six catches for 55 yards
