LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A sorority at the University of Kentucky is what led one young woman to become a court-appointed special advocate. The influence of sisterhood is making a life-changing impact.
A senior at the University of Kentucky, AnnaClaire Reding is one of CASA of Lexington’s newest volunteers and their youngest advocate.
“I’m a human communications major right now focusing on digital mass media,” said Reding.
Although AnnaClaire’s college years are coming to a close, she remains busy.
“I intern at Peggy’s boutique doing their social media, and I’m a community engagement intern at Mom Water,” said Reding.
Also, a member of Kappa Alpha Theta , her sorority is what led to her becoming a CASA volunteer.
“The longer that I’ve been in Theta and the more I’ve been around CASA
