TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A man pleaded guilty in connection with the shooting of a teen in Tucson late last year.

On Sept. 15, Aidian Shane Badia pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He will be sentenced on Oct. 20.

Badia had been indicted on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and prohibited possession.

The Tucson Police Department said Badia shot and killed 16-year-old Nyzaiah Martinez at a home near Golf Links and Kolb on Dec. 2, 2024.

The TPD said several people went to the home, and Badia confronted Martinez before the shooting.
